Albanian parliament Macedonians take part at Albanian parliamentary elections

27 June, 2009

Party of Macedonians in Albania, Macedonian Alliance for European Integration (MAEI) held late Friday a rally in Pustec, thus encircling the election campaign for Sunday's parliamentary elections.

Following the party's registration four years ago, participation in the local elections and the mayoral seat in Pustec, the party takes part for the first time at a parliamentary election with 76 candidates in 12 election districts.

"Although we are part of coalition 'Alliance for Changes', led by PM Berisha's democrats, our party has a separate list, for which Macedonians in Albania can vote for the first time", stated Temelko.

The MAEI leader once again urged all Macedonians to take the polls in masses and cast their vote for the party candidates.
